For property managers

Advertise a vacancy with a public listing

Turn an empty unit into a public, shareable listing page that advertises the vacancy and captures applications. Listings are free on every plan.

Before you start

  • You need to be a property manager, account owner, or admin.
  • You need a property with at least one unit. Add these first if you have not.

Create and publish a listing

  1. Open the property and find the unit you want to advertise.
  2. Select Listing on that unit.
  3. Write the headline, a description, the advertised rent, and when the unit is available from. The rent fills in from the unit's market rent when you have set one.
  4. Choose whether to show the exact address. It is off by default, so the public page shows only the city and province. Turn it on to show the full street address.
  5. Select Save listing.
  6. Add photos in the Photos panel below the form. Choose JPEG, PNG, or WebP images, up to 12. Use the arrows to reorder them, the first one leads the public page. Then Publish.

Share the listing

  • Once published, copy the public link and share it anywhere, by email, by text, or on social media and rental sites.
  • Anyone with the link can view the vacancy and apply, with no account needed.
  • You can also see every listing and copy links from Listings in the menu.

What happens next

  • When someone applies from the listing, their application arrives in Applications, just like any other, attached to the unit.
  • Review, approve, reject, or convert the application to a tenant from there.

Take a listing down

  • Select Unlist on the unit's listing. The public page then shows that the listing is unavailable and the apply link closes.
  • Your listing copy is kept, so you can Publish it again later without rewriting it.

Syndicate to rental sites

  • On the Listings page, find Syndication feed and select Enable syndication.
  • You get a feed link. Give that link to a rental site that accepts a listing feed, and your published listings reach more renters in one place.
  • Only published listings appear in the feed, with the same privacy as their public page.
  • Select Pause to stop sharing. The link is kept, so you can Resume later.

Privacy

  • The exact street address is never shown publicly unless you turn on Show the exact address. By default only the city and province appear.
  • Applications are handled under PIPEDA-aligned privacy practices and shared only with your management team.

Troubleshooting

  • The public page says the listing is unavailable. The listing is a draft or has been unlisted. Open the unit and Publish it.
  • There is no Apply button on the public page. The apply link is closed. Publish the listing again to reopen it.
  • My photos do not show on the public page. Photos appear only while the listing is published. Publish the listing, and check the image is a JPEG, PNG, or WebP.
  • I want to post to outside rental sites. Use Syndication feed on the Listings page to get a link you can give to a rental site that accepts a listing feed.
