For tenants

Download a rent receipt

Download a tidy PDF rent receipt for any rent payment that went through, so you have proof of rent paid for your records or a provincial benefit or tax claim.

Before you start

  • You need a tenant account linked to your lease.
  • The payment must have succeeded. A pending or failed payment has no receipt yet.
  • This feature may be turned on by your property manager. If you do not see a download button, ask your manager to enable rent receipts, or just use the print option on the receipt page.

Steps

  1. Sign in. You land on Your home.
  2. In the Payment history panel, find the payment you want and select View receipt.
  3. On the receipt page, select Download receipt. A PDF downloads to your device.

What is on the receipt

  • The landlord or company name, and their address for notices if it is on file.
  • Your name and your rental unit.
  • The amount received, the payment method, and the date it was paid.
  • The rent period the payment covers, and a unique receipt number.

What happens next

  • Keep the PDF with your records. The same payment always produces the same receipt number, so you can download it again any time.
  • Your manager can also download the same receipt from their side if you need another copy.

Good to know

  • This receipt is for your records. It is tooling, not tax advice. Keep it for any provincial benefit or tax claim you make, such as the Ontario Trillium Benefit.
  • Prefer a full ledger? Use Download statement on Your home for a month-by-month summary.
