For tenants
Download a rent receipt
Download a tidy PDF rent receipt for any rent payment that went through, so you have proof of rent paid for your records or a provincial benefit or tax claim.
Before you start
- You need a tenant account linked to your lease.
- The payment must have succeeded. A pending or failed payment has no receipt yet.
- This feature may be turned on by your property manager. If you do not see a download button, ask your manager to enable rent receipts, or just use the print option on the receipt page.
Steps
- Sign in. You land on Your home.
- In the Payment history panel, find the payment you want and select View receipt.
- On the receipt page, select Download receipt. A PDF downloads to your device.
What is on the receipt
- The landlord or company name, and their address for notices if it is on file.
- Your name and your rental unit.
- The amount received, the payment method, and the date it was paid.
- The rent period the payment covers, and a unique receipt number.
What happens next
- Keep the PDF with your records. The same payment always produces the same receipt number, so you can download it again any time.
- Your manager can also download the same receipt from their side if you need another copy.
Good to know
- This receipt is for your records. It is tooling, not tax advice. Keep it for any provincial benefit or tax claim you make, such as the Ontario Trillium Benefit.
- Prefer a full ledger? Use Download statement on Your home for a month-by-month summary.
