For property managers
Find anything with search
Jump straight to any tenant, property, unit, lease, or document from anywhere in the app.
Before you start
- Search is free on all plans for managers and owners.
- You only ever see your own account's records. Search is scoped to your account and your role, so it never returns another account's data.
Steps
- Press Cmd K on a Mac or Ctrl K on Windows or Linux to open the search bar. On a phone, tap the search icon in the top bar.
- Start typing. Try a tenant's name, a property address, a unit label, or a document name.
- Watch the results group by type as you type. Use the up and down arrow keys to move between them.
- Press Enter on the highlighted result, or tap it, to go straight to that record.
- Press Escape to close search without going anywhere.
What happens next
- Selecting a result takes you to that record's page, for example a tenant's profile or a lease.
- Recent picks show up the next time you open search, so getting back to a record you were just on takes two keystrokes.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing happens when I type one letter. Search needs at least two characters before it looks, so a single keystroke is ignored on purpose.
- A record I expected is missing. Archived and deleted records do not show in search. Check the archive if you put it there on purpose.
- A tenant only sees a little. Tenants can search their own lease and documents only. They never see other tenants, other leases, or your internal documents.
- The shortcut does nothing. Some browsers reserve Cmd K or Ctrl K. Use the search icon in the top bar instead, it opens the same search.
