For property managers
Preview a document or image
Open any document or image without leaving Wealtharu. Instead of downloading a file to look at it, you can preview it right in the app, page through it, zoom in, and download it only if you want to keep a copy.
Where you can preview
The preview opens from anywhere a document is listed:
- A property's Documents tab (title deeds, surveys, insurance, statements, anything you have filed).
- A lease's Documents tab.
- A tenant's documents.
- The Receipts ledger and a property's Receipts tab, to open a scanned receipt.
You will see a small thumbnail next to each file so you can recognise it before you open it. Tap the thumbnail, the file name, or the Preview link to open it.
What you can do in the preview
- Page through a PDF. A multi-page document shows a strip of page thumbnails. Tap a page to jump to it, use the arrows, or press the left and right arrow keys.
- Zoom and pan. Use the plus and minus buttons, scroll to zoom, or pinch with two fingers on a phone or tablet. Drag to move around when you are zoomed in. Double-tap to zoom in and out quickly.
- Rotate. Turn a sideways scan the right way up with the rotate button.
- Download. Tap Download to save a copy to your device. The preview is for looking, the download is for keeping.
Close the preview with the X in the top corner, by tapping outside it, or by pressing Escape.
What can be previewed
Images (JPG, PNG, HEIC, and similar), PDFs, and plain text or CSV files preview right in the app. Other file types, like a Word or Excel document, cannot be shown inline, so Wealtharu offers a download instead. Nothing is ever changed by previewing it. The preview is read-only.
On your phone
The preview is built for a phone first. The controls sit within easy thumb reach, pinch-to-zoom works the same as in your photos app, and the page thumbnails scroll along the bottom. Everything you can do on a computer you can do on a phone.
Good to know
- Previewing a file does not share it with anyone. Who can see a document is still controlled by the document's own settings (landlord-only or tenant-facing).
- If a file cannot be loaded, you will see a clear message with a download option, so you are never left staring at a blank screen.
