For property managers
Set up automated rent reminders
Turn on automatic reminders that nudge tenants whose rent is overdue, on a schedule you control.
Before you start
- You need to be a property manager, account owner, or admin.
- Automated reminders are a Pro and up feature. On the Free plan the daily reminder run does not happen and the settings are locked. Open Billing from the menu to upgrade.
Steps
- Open Rent collection from the menu.
- Turn on automated reminders and set the schedule: - how many days between reminders, and - a maximum number of reminders per overdue charge.
- Save. You can also tailor the wording under Notification templates.
What happens next
- Each day, Wealtharu finds tenants whose rent is overdue and sends the next reminder on your schedule. It stops once the rent is paid or the maximum is reached. Each reminder goes out at most once.
- Reminders use the tenant's preferred channel, email or text, and always show in their in-app inbox. All marketing messaging respects CASL consent and unsubscribe.
- If a tenant replies STOP, PAID, or OK, the reminder ladder for that charge pauses or ends on its own.
Troubleshooting
- Reminders are not sending. Check that reminders are turned on and that your plan includes the feature (Pro and up). Dropping back to Solo stops the daily run for your account.
- Too many messages. Lower how often reminders go out, or lower the maximum count.
