For tenants
Message your landlord
You can write to your landlord from your home page, and see everything that has been said in one place. Before this, a reply only lived in your own texts or email, so neither of you had the full history.
Messages appears on your home page only when your landlord has it turned on. If you do not see it, they have not switched it on yet, and you can still reach them the way you do today.
Read your messages
Sign in and scroll to Messages on your home page. Every message is listed oldest first, so the thread reads top to bottom. Your own messages are highlighted, and anything from your landlord is labelled with their name.
Some messages are marked Automatic. Those are the reminders Wealtharu sends on your landlord's behalf, like a note that rent is due soon. Nobody typed them, so there is no need to reply to one unless you want to.
Send a message
- Scroll to Messages on your home page.
- Write in the box under Your message.
- Choose Send message.
Your message appears in the thread straight away and your landlord is notified. There is nothing to address and nobody to pick, because Wealtharu already knows which tenancy is yours.
What your landlord sees
They see your message in their own inbox, alongside everything else about your tenancy, and they can reply from there.
What you do not see
Your landlord's team can leave private notes to each other about a tenancy. Those are for them, not for you, and they never appear in your thread. You also see messages as coming from your landlord rather than from a particular staff member.
Good to know
- Keep messages about your tenancy. For an urgent repair, raise a maintenance request instead, so it is tracked properly.
- Your messages are part of the tenancy record, so they are kept.
