Set up automatic rent payments
Have your rent paid automatically from your bank account each month, so you never miss a due date.
Before you start
- Your property manager needs to offer pre-authorized debit on your lease. If you do not see the option, ask them to turn it on.
- Have your bank details handy for the secure authorization step.
Steps
- Sign in. You land on Your home.
- Find the automatic payments option and start the setup.
- Confirm your bank and authorize the payment in the secure window.
- Turn on autopay so each month's rent is paid on its due date.
What happens next
- On each due date, your rent is paid from your bank account, and a receipt appears in Payment history on Your home.
- A bank payment takes a day or two to clear, so it may show as processing first, then paid.
Troubleshooting
- A payment did not go through. This usually means there were not enough funds, or the authorization was canceled. Your manager is told, and you can pay another way in the meantime.
- You want to stop autopay. You can turn it off at any time from Your home.
